Icons of England is a wonderful collection of thought-provoking essays and stunning photographs celebrating more than just the rolling hills and vernacular details that set England apart from the rest of the world. With images from the UK’s leading photographers, it could be enjoyed simply as a collection of stunning countryside imagery. Once you have read about the thoughts and memories of its 70 contributors, however, you will start to realise it is a whole lot more.
